Vice President Faisal Naseem has concluded his one-day trip to Seenu Atoll and Gnaviyani Atoll and returned to Malé this evening.

The Vice President made several stops during his short visit. His first stop was at Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) in Addu City, where he met with the hospital's management and spoke extensively on strengthening the country's healthcare system and on the Government's commitment to ensuring dignified lives for all citizens.

The Vice President was also the distinguished guest at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the project to develop a Drug Detoxification and Community Rehabilitation Centre in Hulhumeedhoo Ward. He made remarks at the ceremony, centering on the prevalence of narcotics abuse within the youth and the Administration's plans to rescue, treat and rehabilitate victims.

Following this, the Vice President met with several students training to be pilots at the Addu Flying Academy at Gan Airport before departing to Gnaviyani Atoll.

At Fuvahmulah City, he toured the site for the road development project where he was briefed on the project and met with several of the employees on site. Next, he visited the Waste Management Site in Fuvahmulah City, run by Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) under the guidance of the City Council. While there, the Vice President deliberated on the waste management plan prepared for the City.

Following his tours, Vice President Faisal Naseem sat down for extensive discussions with the senior management of Fuvahmulah Hospital at the Secretariat of the City Council. The management detailed several concerns on urgent matters limiting their services to patients. The Vice President offered clarifications on how their concerns can best be addressed and affirmed that it would be raised to the relevant authorities at the earliest convenience.
