President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has extended the deadline opened for complaint form submission for individuals who have faced legal action or imprisonment due to politically motivated reasons, since 1 February 2012. The new deadline for the complaint form submission is 1400 hours of 22 January 2019.
The deadline was extended due to numerous requests by the public for an extension, stated the notice issued in the government gazette.
Previously the opportunity to submit this form was opened for 30 days from 6th December 2018.
Under the pledge of President Solih to review the cases of politically motivated detainees and to release those victims, President Solih formed a special committee to carry out this task on his first day of presidency.
