President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has reiterated that the administration accords highest priority to fulfil the needs of the Maldivian people and facilitate better living conditions. The President made this statement while speaking at the inauguration of sanitation services in Hen’badhoo Island of South Miladhummadulu Atoll.

In his speech, the President disappointedly pointed out that basic utilities were still not properly established in some islands.

Highlighting the population’s high demand for housing, President Solih pointed out that major social issues are traced back to lack of proper housing conditions. He also said that the remaining housing challenges pose a significant hurdle towards achieving true economic progress.

Speaking in this regard, the President shed light on the administration’s policies and projects planned to relieve the Maldivian people from their current challenges. The President detailed on the policies to tackle the social issues being faced, as well as the development projects planned to ensure the people’s aspirations are fulfilled.

Furthermore, President Solih expressed his confidence in all State institutions to work together to achieve the administration’s goals, and in turn provide better living for the people.

Following the inauguration of sanitation services in Hen’badhoo, the President took a tour of a cultural display performed by children in the island.
