President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the L. Kalaidhoo Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members to discuss the residents' most pertinent concerns. The meeting took place at Kalaidhoo's Social Centre.

During the discussion, Council members shared concerns regarding the stagnation of various developmental projects and the challenges faced due to delays in approving the land use plan. They also relayed issues related to the Council's jurisdiction area and requested an appropriate resolution to their worries.

The Council members brought to the President's attention the stagnant status of the island's main road development project and deliberated on the desired design modification for the causeway project. They noted the significance of developing a football ground, the necessity of upgrading the Kalaidhoo Harbour, resolving waste management, and establishing a swimming area and a police post.

The President assured the council members that he would address the issues brought up during the meeting, and he relayed the latest updates on the key issues raised by the Council through the Ministers present.
