President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the N. Kudafari Island Council.

At the meeting, Council members shared their development needs with the President, shedding light on the current challenges being faced by the island’s residential community.

The Council members emphasised the urgent need for housing, shore protection, and establishing an industrial zone. They also highlighted the need for harbour development, and relocating the powerhouse to the industrial zone. Council members detailed their efforts towards women's empowerment and the facilitation of income sources.

Additionally, the WDC underscored their challenges due to their unsuitable work environment.

The President assured the members that the Administration would thoroughly examine the concerns raised by the Council. Ministers present at the meeting, provided updates on the Government's ongoing initiatives to address the issues brought to the forefront by the Council.
