President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Sh. Bilehfahi Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Kan'ditheemu Council.

At the meeting, Council members shared their development needs with the President. As such, they requested that the government speed up the completion of the water and sewerage network and harbour expansion projects. Members also highlighted the need for a modern waste management centre, the difficulties caused by space constraints at the Council Secretariat, the installation of a sports fishing Fish Aggregating Device (FAD), and the development of sports on the island.

The WDC members relayed the difficulties caused by the lack of a dedicated office space. They also highlighted the need for better pay and a dedicated indoor gym for women.

In response, the President stated that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates on the Government's efforts to address the issues.
