President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Ahmed Saleem as the Commissioner of Sports on 22nd May 2019, in accordance with Article 6 (b) of the “Sports Act” (Act number 30/2015). He was appointed to the position in the level of Deputy Minister.
Ahmed Saleem has been serving in the field of sports for a long time. He also received the National Award of Honour in 2018 for his contributions in the area of Sports; Sports Management and Technical Services to Sports Development amongst his other achievements. He also has done numerous sports-related training.
