President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a congratulatory message to the new King of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, and on my own behalf, I congratulate Your Majesty on your ascension to the throne.
I am optimistic that Your Majesty’s reign will witness additional strengthening of the close bonds of friendship between our two countries. Further, it is my sincere hope that the increased collaboration between the governments of our two countries in all spheres of engagement will herald a new and positive chapter in the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Malaysia.
I wish Your Majesty and Your Majesty’s subjects good health and prosperity, and good fortune in all endeavors.”
