President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has dismissed the sitting members of the National Pay Commission, and appointed members to the commission as per Article 6 (c) of the National Pay Policy Act (Act No.11/2016).
The new composition of the National Pay Commission is as follows:
1. Mariyam Niyaf Mohamed
She has attained MSc in Economics from University of Manchester, UK, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business/HR from the Management Science University, Malaysia. She is serving as lecturer at the Business School of the Maldives National University.
2. Afaf Ibrahim Ali Didi
She has attained Master of Business Administration (International) from Edith Cowan University, Australia.
3. Abdulla Ali
He has attained MA in Economics from Eastern Michigan University, USA, and is currently serving as the Regional Cooperation Specialist at the Asian Development Bank.
4. Fathimath Shaana Farooq
She is serving as Director General at the Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure.
Mariyam Niyaf Mohamed was appointed as the Vice President of the National Pay Commission.
