In reference to the clause 84 of the constitution, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared the opening day of the People’s Majlis where the President delivers the Presidential Address each year, as a government holiday. President’s directive was published on the President’s Office website today.
Hence, 7th February 2019 is declared a government holiday since it is the opening session of the People’s Majlis for this year.
