President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saud Arabia, following the passing away of his beloved brother, His Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing away of Your Majesty’s beloved brother, His Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia. Prince Talal was a statesman of the highest order who served the Saudi Kingdom in numerous capacities, and his passing will prove a profound loss to the Kingdom.”
“At this time of national grief, I would like to convey, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives and, on my own behalf, our heartfelt condolences to His Highness Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, the entire Saudi Royal Family and the people of Saudi Arabia.”
“Surely to Allah we belong and surely to Him we shall return.”
