A delegation from the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) paid a courtesy on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom this Sunday afternoon during a meeting held at Presidents’ Office.

During the meeting, the President briefed the delegation on the political situation of Maldives. The The President highlighted that, as one of the key pledges of his administration was to develop the country economically, a country will only develop economically when the youth of the country are given opportunities to succeed, hence, the bridge that is to be built between Male’ and Hulhumale’ will create many opportunities for the youth.

The President was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Dunya Maumoon, Attorney General Uz. Mohamed Anil, Minister for Legal Affairs at the President’s Office Uza. Aishath Azima Shakoor, Foreign Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Naseer and Under Secretary at the President’s Office Mr. Mohamed Naseer
