President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim have inaugurated the “3000 Photos of Maldivian History” exhibition, presented by Billabong International High School and Kangaroo Kids International School.
The exhibition being held at the National Art Gallery features historic photos of Kings and Former Presidents of the Maldives, and also displays pictures of old Male’ city and Hulhule Airport.
At the opening ceremony, President Yameen signed a photograph of Late Former President Ibrahim Nasir on the 26th of July 1965, signing the agreement securing full independence from British Protectorate status for the Maldives.
