Minister of Health and Family Welfare of India, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda has paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, President Yameen underlined the close friendship between Maldives and India, saying that Maldives will always cherish and appreciate the robust relationship between the two countries. The President discussed with the Indian Health Minister, ways to further strengthen these ties, especially in the health sector.
Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda of India assured President Yameen of India’s support and assistance in improving the Maldives’ health sector.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Health, Hon. Irthisham Adam, State Minister at the President’s Office, H.E. Mohamed Ghassaan Maumoon, and the Maldivian High Commissioner to India, H.E. Ahmed Mohamed.
