President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this evening attended the training session of the National Football squad, ahead of their World Cup qualifying match against Qatar. The match is scheduled for Thursday.
On arrival at the National Football Stadium, the President was welcomed by Manager of the national team Mohamed Latheef, and the General Secretary of FAM Bassam Adeel Jaleel. The Captain of the national team Ali Ashfaq presented the President with a jersey of the national team. The President met with the members of the team, and expressed his encouragements to all the players.
