President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed greetings to the people of the Maldives on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). He also sent greetings of this auspicious day to the leaders of Islamic countries, Islamic organisations and the entire Muslim Ummah.
In his message, the President said that the Holy Prophet was the example for all Muslims to follow. He urged the people to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, and to strengthen unity and harmony among us.
