President Yameen Abdul Gayoom has reconstituted the Board of National Drug Agency and appointed Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Mohamed Mahir as the Chairman of the Board.
Other members appointed to the Board are:

- Hamid Yoosuf, Executive Director at the Ministry of Home Affairs
- Naif Shaukath, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports
- Fathimath Azza, Director General at the Ministry of Education
- Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Shahid Mohamed, Maldives National Defence Force
- Mohamed Rasheed, Chief Inspector of Police
- Aminath Rasheeda, Assistant Commissioner of Customs
- Abdullah Waheed, Deputy Controller of Immigration and Emigration
- Mohamed Zubair, Representative from Journey (a local NGO)
