Former President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan and his wife Madam Ilham Hussain have returned home this evening. He was greeted on arrival at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport by the Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed.
On his arrival at Malé Jetty, President Waheed was welcomed by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and Members of the Cabinet.
Speaking to the local media, President Yameen said that the Government will bestow its highest honour and respect to the former president.
President Waheed said that he will positively contribute to social causes.
