Social Council decides to introduce compulsory one-year stint in the islands, for nurses and MBBS doctors trained under Government scholarship

The Social Council has decided to introduce compulsory one-year stint, for nurses and MBBS doctors trained under Government scholarship, in any health Centre assigned by the Ministry of Health and Gender. The decision was made to address the shortage of doctors and nurses in the islands.

The Ministry of Health and Gender is to prepare an administrative plan for the implementation of this project.
