President Dr Mohamed Waheed has extended greetings to the people of the Maldives, Hajj pilgrims and to the Islamic ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul-Al’haa.
Noting that Eid ul-Al’haa was an occasion to help people in need and strengthen unity and friendships, President Waheed highlighted that Hajj encourages the establishment of harmonious familial and brotherly relations amongst us.
In his message, President urged the people not to let the political differences disrupt the unity and solidarity amongst us, at a time when the country was in political turmoil. As we prepare for the presidential elections, President called upon the people to maintain stability amongst us.
The President also sent Eid greetings to the Leaders of Islamic countries and to the Heads of Islamic Organisations. The President has also been receiving greetings from them.
